La sèche des Sarraniers

The Sarranier drop-off features a rocky head at depths of 16 to 50 meters. This dive is renowned for the density of its flora and fauna and the variety of species encountered.

The Sarranier dry dive is a fairly technical dive, as it is exposed to currents and winds, which is what makes it so rich. The rocky ascent off Porquerolles is home to a large concentration of groupers, dentex and bream. Stingrays and pelagic fish such as cuttlefish, amberjacks and bonito can also be seen. Fishing is prohibited in this area, making it an ideal spot. Note the presence of magnificent large red gorgonians from a depth of 35m.
