With 407 tourists on board, the Vénus-des-Îles was a tourist shuttle that sank off Toulon in 1975.
On July 23, 1975, the speedboat "Vénus-des-Iles-II", operating between Toulon and the Golden Islands, caught fire off Carqueiranne (Var) and sank.
