Le Prophète

Discover this wreck situated in the Southeast of the Cape Lardier!! Built by craftsmen in Sète in 1853 by Reynaud et Cie, it sank at the end of March 1860 because of a leak. The cargo of wheat which it transported was lost.

The shape of the boat is difficult to identify because the hull and the deck are flat on the sand. This wreck is nicknamed "Boilers" by some people. Indeed these represent the only interesting and relatively well kept part of the Prophet. They are in the center of the wreck. We can see there also an enormous steering wheel of round shape.

THE FLORA AND FAUNA:
The Prophet sank on a bottom of sand surrounded by posidonia at a depth of 34 meters.
