Fabienne PARDI , Master Santon maker from father to daughter since 1949 in Saint Cyr sur Mer. The magic of Christmas comes through the santons of Provence and the happiness they bring to young and old alike. In the pure Provencal tradition, I use only clay and my hands to create and give life to all these little characters that will embellish your end-of-year nativity scenes. They are lovingly modeled, scraped and washed, then dried for days, fired at 980° in a ceramic kiln, and finally painted... One by one, meticulously and delicately. At the end of so many hours' work, they'll be ready to join new families, and will sweetly enchant your Advent evenings with their pretty decorations at the foot of the Christmas tree.
