La ville de Grasse wreck

Looking for the 1750 golden coins !

WRECK HISTORY…
The steamboat “Ville de Grasse” owned by the Grasse-Cannes Company shuttled between Marseille, Cannes and Nice. A short three years career finish on December 16 1851 night. Departed from Marseille the night before on its way to Nice, 54 passengers and various goods like silk or oil were on board… at 3am the “Ville de Grasse” crashed into the “Ville de Marseille”, nearly cut in two pieces, it sank rapidly. 15 victims were registered.

THE FLORA AND FAUNA…
the wreck is covered in sand, the flora and fauna is not really present. But the wreck is interesting due to its age.

- Location : about 600m South, South-West Grand Ribaud lighthouse
- Depth : between 44 and 50 m
- Level : difficult
- Dive : Dive Master and Rescue Diver
- Remarks : strong current, during summer a lot of marine traffic.
