At the north-east end of Port-Cros island, the Pointe de la Galère is one of the most beautiful dives in the Port-Cros National Park.
The area is forbidden to anchor, but there is a buoy reserved primarily for diving clubs (as in many spots in the Parc National de Port-Cros). Diving takes place along a rocky point that descends to 36 meters, and is 6-7 meters high. The east side is a sandy bottom, while the west is covered with posidonia.
There's a lot of pleasure-boat traffic in summer (on the way to Port-Man and Le Levant), so take care when ascending. Choose the coast for safe ascent.
