What is the “RCT”?

The Rugby Club Toulonnais (RCT) is closely intertwined with Toulon’s History. The Club was created in 1908 and became world-renowned because of its victories (1st club to win the European Champions Cup 3 times in a row) and its emblematic legends such as Tana Umaga or Jonny Wilkinson (from 2009 to 2014). The Stadium regularly hosts international teams: the All Blacks, Leinster Rugby, Natal Sharks, London Irish or Saracens set foot on the field!

Winner of European Rugby Champions Cup in 2013, 2014, 2015; Winner of the French National Championship in 1931, 1987, 1992, 2014.

RCT’s features

The Club is located in the legendary Mayol Stadium, the only stadium in Europe with a 15.500 spectators’ capacity to be situated downtown.
Mayol Stadium is right in front of Toulon cruise terminal; passengers can even have a look at it from the upper deck of their ship!
The Pilou-Pilou is a “war cry” sang by the RCT supporters before and after a game. It has been written in the 40’s and became very popular in Toulon’s area.
