Military history has been an important part of Fréjus past from the time of Emperor Julius Caesar to today. Start the tour with The Pagoda of Hong-Hien, unique in the Var and the oldest Buddhist temple in France built in 1917 by the Indochinese infantrymen.

To complete the tour, visit the Missouri Mosque, located in Caïs military camp, modeled after the Great Mosque of Djenné in Mali. This building is classified as a historical monument.
