Cotignac,

Countryside Authentic Provencal Village

Discover Cotignac …

Picturesque Cotignac, unwinds its village Provencal rooftops at the foot of an impressive tuff cliff. It boasts as well troglodyte caves mainly used as a shelter place during uncertain times.  Atop the rocky promontory, one overlooks a lovely countryside covered with a dense olive, cypress, pine & oak trees vegetation. Uphill too, one may pay a visit to Our Lady of Grace. The shrine was an active pilgrimage site from the 16th and visited later by Louis the XIV. Due to its well preserved & protected historic attractions as well as its preserved natural environment, the town is recognized as a “Village de Caractère” a recognition of its cultural interest.

Just a few minutes out of town, flanked by some oak and pine trees, the vineyard you will visit, produces wines under the label of the “AOP Côtes de Provence”. Hand-picking process, sunny climate and appropriate soil, contribute to releasing a quality product, an authentic and balanced wine just like the country it originates from.  Before the visit of the vineyard ends, you are invited for a tasting demo.
