The famous town of the Var proposes each year, an event which puts together the most amazing array of traditional and modern yachts on the same waters. The event offers the opportunity to attend or follow the races as much as a wide range of daily activities and micro-events ashore. A not to be missed event!

Toulon Jazz Festival

The annual Toulon Jazz Festival offers a rich and varied programme. Running for ten days, numerous concerts are staged both in the evening and during the day on the town’s many squares. This entirely free festival enables everyone from novices to enthusiasts to discover or rediscover jazz and the town of Toulon, which throbs with the music of the many musicians who have made this festival more and more popular with every passing year.

Nativity scene figurine market (3rd weekend in November)

After you see the Château de Valbelle in Tourves, you can go to the largest market for traditional crèche figurines in the Var, held in the sumptuous royal convent at the Saint Maximin abbey. Stroll through the stalls where you’ll find artist craftsmen (crèche figurine makers, potters, painters and sculptors) as well as delicious traditional local products. It’s the perfect place to find the figurines to complete your Nativity scene or pick up a few original gifts.

The Medieval Festival of Brignoles (3rd weekend in August)

Enjoy the festival this year with the ever growing number of visitors, and be amazed as the town is transformed to resemble nearly exactly what it must have been like in medieval times. Nothing is missing in this tableau-come-to-life; it captures the reality and mystery, celebration and feasting. There are beggars and traditional craftsmen, troubadours and innkeepers, minstrels, travelling performers, musicians and actors.
